Dave Simons
Musician/Journalist/Audio Engineer
Musician/journalist/audio engineer Dave Simons is a former senior writer with Home Recording magazine and has covered the recording arts, past and present, for a variety of publications, including Musician, Guitar One, Performing Songwriter, Acoustic Guitar and Country Music. His new book is entitled Studio Stories: How the Great New York Records Were Made - From Miles to Madonna, Sinatra to the Ramones (Backbeat Books).
He maintains a two-room studio in the basement of his New England home, complete with live echo chamber and an arsenal of aging equipment, and has so far resisted the urge to hawk his wife’s jewelry for a Neumann U-47.
