Origionally from Birmingham Ala., had a band 24 KARAT who won the1984 Miller High Life Rock to Riches National Talent search and a record deal with MCA records.

Moved to Nashville April 1,1988,scored a Shelby Lynne cut, “That’s Where It Hurts” on first night in town. Song was used in the Willie Nelson/Kris Kristofferson CBS TV movie, Another Pair Of Aces. Has had songs published with SONY, MCA, and Best Built Songs,where he was a staff writer for 6 years.

Currently teaches songwriting and the “practical application to the music business"in Nashville through workshops, seminars, and songwriter and artists “Tours” of Nashville, which are single or multi day private workshops.
Offers “welcome to newbie workshops first and third Monday’s in Nashville and is an active mentor of NSAI’s chapter workshop program.

Has written over 2000 songs in 6 1/2 years with 1500 people worldwide and his mentoring services have assisted artists like Sony records the Kinley’s, Warner Brothers artist Frankie Ballard, and Big Machine artists Steel Magnolia.
