This is a song that was originally written as a poem in 2005. I’ve written a chorus, and made one other minor change.
Love
Love is eternity to me.
It transcends all beauty.
It encompasses reality,
And overwhelms formality.
It reaches deep and long,
Makes right from wrong,
Brings hope to go on,
And makes weak things strong.
Chorus
Only holy love can make us free,
Break chains and bonds and bring sanctity.
If we will live the light of day,
We will feel this love that never goes away.
I’m in love with compassion,
Passionate about intimacy,
Live for bliss and holiness,
And Lay down as a lamb in peace.
Worth giving, worth living in,
Worth giving into, and living true.
This force is not forced,
It is God given, to be the source.

Love will remain, and can’t be contained.
It is feeling, it is spoken, said, and done.
It is realized, cherished, prized, open,
Large, and wise, not to be disguised, love.
