Hi ho Kevvy :) - thanks for your comment, much appreciated.
Purple crystals - well you have those new gadgets/merchandise coming up - with it you can blow these bubbles that can have any color/shape :) - just joking. So singer is just relaxing looking at the nightsky while blowin these crystals up against the silvery moon. Or perhaps singer is tryin to start a purple rain, just keep blowin those crystals and who knows someday - again just joking :)
yeah I know line can be strange in song. Can also like said in thread already refer to drugs. But it was in fact left in to make people wonder a bit euh? - and it doesn’t sound too bad, I think. There are loads of great songs where you cannot get meaning of lines rightaway. If there is a meaning at all. Who knows it will inspire some company to actually make such a bubble blowin merchandise - which you can use say as an act of protest against too many silly talk (blablabla - here’s my purple/yellow/red crystal, now shut up!). I think we songwriters are allowed these things now and then. Bowie and lots of others made their career with “silly” lines.
