Had one once upon a time when the world was young. Enjoyed it very much.

I have a 1966 Mustang Bass. Does that count?

That counts!

How are they playing for everyone? Satisfactorily?

I enjoyed mine (had two, at different times). I had to go to Asia so I traded in my first for an acoustic Martin, more portable. But I always remembered the pleasures of that slender neck and the clarity of sound it gave, so I got another when I got back to the world.

A different guitar can be a source of inspiration for a songwriter, something of the different sound making you explore a different ‘voice’, a different ‘singer-character’ whose song may go somewhere new, exploring new possibilities.

When I finished restoring my 66 Mustang Bass, I immediately wrote a solo piece for electric bass on it. A new instrument always brings new creativity!
