I am wanting something more than my phone or hand held recorder to work with, I am looking at Tascam DP-24SD. Seems like something to work in songs with that wont break the bank.

my very first multi-track recorder was a Tascam 4 track tape recorder back in the 80s, loved it.
Tascam is a great name. and i think the DP-24 is Tascams’ answer to the ZOOM R-24 which
is what i use. both have product demos on youtube, check’em out.

I used one of those back in the 80’s.
How do you import drum tracks? Tascam doesn’t have loops or drums. Only click track.

the zoom has a built in drum machine and sequencer, but i also have a separate drum machine which
has more sound options. the Tascam will probably control an external drum machine with just a midi
cable, my old roland 8 track does that but the zoom doesn’t.
