Hi, based on the songs I wrote ( I will provide piano chords, voice demo) I need instrumentals for the songs I did. But I may need to be good quality, maybe radio ready. Willing to share possible royalties. Thank you!

Hi Daniel. Just a note of caution. Achieving radio read material is extremely challenging for an amateur, home-based musician simply because of the complexity of recording, mixing, and mastering. If you take a look at the material that John Evans and I are doing (see my signature below) it’s of a reasonable quality (even if the music ends up not being your cup of tea), but it’s not even nearly radio ready. In fact, it would be impossible to make our current recordings radio ready simply because they were performed in the wrong setting (eg. my living room is too big and has too many edges to get a nice dry recording) and with the wrong equipment (eg. John’s guitar is recorded through a line rather than through a mic) and dozens of other reasons.

A friend of mine owns a recording studio (recording for the likes of Bruno Merz and The Datsuns). As a favour, he listened to a couple of our songs. He tore apart our mixes. If he weren’t so supportive about it, I think I would have come away thoroughly hurt by the experience. From that experience, John and I came to realize that we would never be able to create a radio-ready song without professional help. Mixing and mastering engineers go through years of training to learn how to do that so of COURSE we can’t do that. But, we can make an excellent demo quality track.

If you are after radio-ready quality, you will generally have to pay someone to do that for you. Alternatively, you can collaborate with some pretty fantastic artists here or on other forums to create fantastic music that’s excellent quality but is not likely to be radio ready. You’re expecting too much I’m afraid. It’s possible, just not likely.

There are a few music producers who hang out here. Take a look through Tune Topics to find someone who is making music you like of a quality that you like and then PM them. Good luck.
