Garage Rock?!
That’s why I clicked.
But then, it’s okay to be surprised every once in a while, isn’t it? I like “WYAU!000” better, though, much better. I’m not the ballad type, I’m afraid.

Solid lyrics (why not print them?). I didn’t quite understand this line, though: “I don’t know if lying(? Sounds like “lie”) is the answer any more”.
Solid guitar. How do you produce the stereo sound?
Solid singing.
Solid song.

The mix sounds (very) sharp in my ear phones. But then, MY mixes seem to sound low and dull in everybody else’s ear phones ;-)

Cheers,
Bernd

“lyin’s the answer” lol! Damn this Alabama accent! :)
Thanks Bernd! Yea, everything sounds real sharp in my headphones too… had to quit using them for
mastering. That guitar is a mixture of the built-in pickup running through a real quick 30ms stereo delay
@ 100% and a mono mic in the center. Not very natural sounding but I thought it was interesting :)

Ah man! Mr Williams this is gorgeous. I don’t think I’ve ever heard you do one like this. Definitely not your “usual” sound (for me anyway). Vocally, you seem to find your sound at about 1:50 in. It’s like you relax into the song. The last half of this recording is fantastic, starting within your second verse. Having my third listen now….

I’m loving your accent so don’t slag it, man. There’s one line that I can’t make heads nor tails of though. I really can’t hear what you’re saying at the line with “One’s right…??? one’s wrong.” Huh? Perhaps there are too many words mashed in there or maybe you’ve got those oysters you love stored in your cheeks. Dunno the reason for it falling flat, but to me that line lets it down. Also, the line “we had what we wanted to believe” in verse two seems out of place to me. Almost like you couldn’t think of what to put there.

Love love love the way you’ve sung the “we” of “we reached so high” with the previous line. It’s perfect. Chills. Mmm, very nice. Also love the way the song builds. Not too abrupt for the genre, but masterful. And then how it comes down again at the end.

Fifth listen. That’s a record for me.  ;)

Really? I loved it. Just goes to show it pays to get uncomfortable sometimes.  :)

Thanks John! Have you tried mixing your bass effect with a mic?

Nope. I have some good bass tones I’m happy with. And finally an acoustic tone I like also running through the bass pedal.
