dead easy

just one joke
upset the office mob
one prank
that cost me my job
I didn’t mean it

dead easy
to make a fool of yourself
dead easy
to get into a mess
dead easy
if you don’t give it some thought
dead easy
if you don’t give it your best

just one word -
threw us off the track
one straw
broke your camel’s back
I didn’t mean it

dead easy
to make a fool of yourself
dead easy
to get into a mess
dead easy
if you don’t give it some thought
dead easy
if you don’t give it your best

I admit I have a loose tongue
it is true, I cannot keep mum
why can’t we just disagree
you don’t have to turn against me

dead easy
to make a fool of yourself
dead easy
to get into a mess
dead easy
if you don’t give it some thought
dead easy
if you don’t give it your best

I think this could be good. The repetitive chorus is well-suited to a rock song.

Hello Bernd,

I like this write, and oh sooo… true these days.  Yes you did a good job getting the hook in there four times during the chorus and I agree with Gav, this would be well suited for a rock song.  Good luck and best wishes,

dead easy
to make a fool of yourself
dead easy
to get into a mess
dead easy
to fit a foot in your mouth
dead easy
to fall like all the rest…. :)

I didn’t know the “foot in one’s mouth” expression. I like that!

Whoa “T”, that brings a whole new meaning to “Toe Jam”, lol.  Hey, that might be a good name for a band, but they would have to do nothing but “foot tapping” music ;(
