24 NOTES
BY MARC-ALAN BARNETTE AND BIG ED MOORE
PERFORMED BY: BOOT HILL BANDITS
produced by Big Ed Moore at Jay’s Place studios, Nashville

A few years ago, I was approached by California based, rock, rap and hip hop producer, “Big Ed” Moore to write a song about “TAPS”, the military funeral song. 24 NOTES is the amount of notes in the song. Over the years there have been less and less buglers and trumpet players to play taps live at the funerals.

Our song, outlines what the song TAP’S means to so many. It was produced by Big Ed on BOOT HILL BANDITS, a CALIFORNIA BASED country band he works with. It has been adopted by BUGLES ACROSS AMERICA, a non-profit group dedicated to organize buglers and trumpet players to play at veterans funerals.

On this MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND if you have a veteran, are a veteran, know someone who is, and purchase a copy of the song, proceeds go to that organization. Purchase one in their name.
