From my time working for Publishers I would say in general


Poor Prosody between words and music

Old Fashioned Tempo , and often played too slowly

Using A Vocalist whose voice is unsuitable

Un Memorable Melodies

An amature presentation

Over long intros


Six reasons as to why its hard to get anyone of consequence

to listen to Demos from an unknown writer
